You’ve selected the perfect decking for your outdoor space – now you just need to decide how best to secure it in its chosen location. There are two main types of fixing that we offer, visible and hidden. With several options available for Thermory products, we’ve created a short introduction to the various fixing methods you can choose from when installing your decking.
Hidden fixing is great if you want to achieve neat-looking decking with a clean surface.
Thermory PaCS® Strip is an innovative fastening solution with pre-grooved boards that enable a quick and easy deck installation with no visible screw heads and automatic alignment with a gap of 5 mm between the boards and underconstruction beams to ensure good ventilation. The strips, which fit together end to end, each consist of six clips that allow three boards to be attached sideways onto a single joist by simply securing the strips and then clicking the boards into place. PaCS is available with Thermory Ash and Thermory Pine decking.
Estimated use is 7,5 strip clips per m2. End-user package contains 30 strip clips, 4.0x30mm stainless steel screws and a drill bit.
Suitable for profiles: D45J (ash and pine), D4J (ash), D30sg (pine)
Thermory’s T-4 and T-6 clips, made from black-coated stainless steel, are a great way to install an attractive decking surface with no visible screws. The T-4 clips are suitable for boards up to 112 mm and leave a 4 mm space between boards, while the T-6 clips are suitable for boards wider than 112 mm and offer a slightly larger gap of 6 mm. T-4 and T-6 clips are suitable for Thermory Ash decking products.
Estimated use is 2,5 clips per meter.
End-user box contains 500 clips, stainless steel screws and a drill bit.
Suitable for profile D4 sg2.
PC clips maintain a 6 mm space between the boards. PC clips are suitable only for Thermory pine decking.
Estimated use is 2,5 clips per meter.
End-user box contains 500 clips, stainless steel screws and a drill bit.
Suitable for profiles D4 sg and D30 sg.
TENI® clips are made from a UV-resistant and weatherproof material, making them ideal for outdoor conditions. The clips leave a uniform space of 6 mm between boards, and their 8 mm height ensures that the boards are effectively ventilated underneath. TENI® clips can be used to install Thermory Ash, Thermory Pine and Thermory Spruce decking.
Estimated use is 2,5 clips per meter.
End-user box contains 100 clips and stainless steel screws.
Suitable for profiles:
D31, D32, D34, D38, D41 (ash)
D33, D34 (pine)
D34 (spruce)
Screws are a simple installation option. When using screws, remember to use a spacer to maintain a gap of 4-6 mm between boards and provide proper ventilation by leaving about 5 mm between decking boards and underconstruction beams. Always use stainless steel screws.
