Technical Department Manager

With Thermory since 2014

Thermory employee

One of the main reasons I have stayed at Thermory for so long is the opportunity for internal growth and the chance to challenge myself in different roles. Another, equally important reason, is the people. I truly believe we have an incredibly great and supportive team, where every challenge gets solved together, and every success is shared and celebrated.

Thermory is my first ‘real’ job if we exclude the short-term gigs I had alongside my studies. I joined Thermory after completing university and military service, at the age of 24. After moving back to Tartu and searching for a job, a friend who worked at Thermory recommended that I apply. I intended to stay only temporarily, for a maximum of a couple of months, but now, ten years later, I’m still here.

Over the years, I have taken on a wide range of different roles. Currently, I work as a Technical Manager at the Reola factory, but I began my journey working as a receiver behind the planer. Between these two positions, I have worked in several departments, operating different woodworking machines, planers, and profiling lines – starting with simple calibration and later moving on to more complex and responsible profiling tasks. From there, I became a Department Supervisor and then moved on to the Technical Department as a Project Technician before taking on my current role as Technical Manager.
