Thermory partners with students from Estonian Academy of Arts in creation of a meeting place and a club area for Tallinn Architecture Biennale

Thermory is one of the partners to Tallinn Architecture Biennale (TAB) which will take place on from September 11-15th, 2019 in Tallinn, Estonia. In cooperation with the leading Estonian arts and design university, Estonian Academy of Arts Thermory helps to create an innovative meeting hub called TAB-Club for the TAB visitors and members.

During the Tallinn Architecture Biennale, TAB-Club is the place where to meet up and exchange information, where different workshops, discussion groups and presentations are held and where a pop-up book shop and café can also be found.

Thermory has supported architecture and design students of Estonia in the process by providing them with thermally modified wood to create furniture for TAB-Club area.

Thermory wood is also being used for the experimental installation of TAB, called Steampunk.

Tallinn Architecture Biennale TAB is an international architecture and urban planning festival with a diverse programme that promotes architectural culture. TAB encourages synergy between Estonian and foreign architects as well as between architects and the general public by way of creating contacts and exchanging ideas.

The core programme of TAB consists of five main events: Curatorial Exhibition, Symposium and Vision Competition (all curated by TAB Head curator Dr Yael Reisner), an International Architecture Schools’ Exhibition and Installation Programme. Moreover, the programme is accompanied by a diverse Satellite Programme, that consists of exhibitions, installations, architectural film projections and other events spread around the city.
