What is the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)?
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is a European Union regulation designed to reduce global deforestation and forest degradation linked to products placed on the EU market. From 30 December 2026, the regulation will apply to medium and large operators and traders that place relevant products, including wood-based products, on the EU market.
The purpose of the EUDR is to ensure that products entering the EU market are:
- deforestation-free
- legally sourced
- fully traceable
How the EUDR Applies to Thermory
As a medium-to-large operator, Thermory is directly subject to the requirements of the EU Deforestation Regulation. This means that products placed on the EU market under the Thermory name must meet all applicable EUDR criteria.
Sustainable forestry and transparent sourcing are at the core of how Thermory operates. Therefore, we have already started preparing our systems, processes, and supply chain to meet these requirements ahead of the legal deadline.
Our implementation activities begin in July 2026 to ensure a smooth and controlled transition before the regulation becomes fully applicabl
What This Means for Our Partners and Customers
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that the information required under the EUDR is available and reliable. This cooperation supports a transparent supply chain and enables us to meet our obligations when placing products on the EU market.
For customers, this means that Thermory products placed on the EU market are handled in line with EUDR requirements and supported by appropriate due diligence and traceability information, providing clear and reliable proof of compliance
