EAS supports the digitalization of Thermory AS processes

Duration of the project 01.01.2023-31.10.2024

The goal of the project is to digitize and automate the main processes of the company by introducing a common and modern business software for the factories.

As a result of the project, all information in production flows in real time, i.e. employees have access to up-to-date information and thus the opportunity to plan their workflow. Through a smart solution, the entire process of production planning also becomes more qualitative – the overview, awareness and the possibility to avoid unnecessary downtimes and thus to increase the production capacity increase. We also consider the elimination of inconvenient communication between fields a great victory.

The project will be financed in the maximum amount: 183,081.08 eur.
The project is financed from the resources of the European Union’s NextGenerationEU recovery fund.

Project No.: 2014-2020.4.03.19-0431
Location: Loo Hamlet, Estonia

The objective of the investment project “Acquisition of a resource-efficient planer for Thermory AS” is to implement a resource-efficient planer with an optical scanner and moving planing heads in Thermory AS for processing ash boards. Such a planer based on cutting-edge technology will save resources and increase the capacity of the production line. Support amount is EUR 174,934.39. The project will end on 31 December 2020. As a result of executing this project, resource productivity will increase by 1.27% and resource usage will improve by 1.3%.

Aid has been provided from the “Investments in the best possible energy efficient technology; support for resource management systems and supporting IT applications” activity of the “Energy and resource efficiency of undertakings” measure of the European Regional Development Fund.

Project No.: Project No. 2014-2020.4.03.19-0535
Location: Loo Hamlet, Estonia

The investment project “Ensuring resource efficiency of thermal modification of ash boards” involves implementing an innovative solution based on the Industry 4.0 concept for pre-treatment of wood before thermal modification of ash, magnolia and radiata boards, reducing the resource waste and eliminating the expensive and energy-intensive thermal modification process of production waste. Support amount is EUR 337,500. The project will end on 31 December 2021. Resource usage will improve by 6.3% as a result of executing the project.

Aid has been provided from the “Investments in the best possible energy efficient technology; support for resource management systems and supporting IT applications” activity of the “Energy and resource efficiency of undertakings” measure of the European Regional Development Fund.

The main objective of the investment project “Resource- and energy-saving investment implementation for the production complex of Thermory AS” is to reduce the manufacturing cost of products through reducing input prices, which, in turn, would help the company stay competitive and expand its product assortment. To achieve these objectives, the investment project was primarily focused on (a) automating the control systems of the production lines and drying kilns and thus reducing production loss and (b) reconditioning the power supply of the production complex.

As a result of this project, Thermory’s specific resource use costs per product unit of planed sauna material will decrease by at least 6.5% and production capacity will increase by up to 15%. Support amount is EUR 972,650. The project will end on 30 June 2020.

Support has been provided from the “Investments in the best possible energy efficient technology; support for resource management systems and supporting IT applications” activity of the “Energy and resource efficiency of undertakings” measure of the European Regional Development Fund.
